Mass Air Flow sensor / Followup

Thank you to everyone who wrote with great advice ...
and especially to Tony Hoffman for fielding my three
(or more) phone calls when disassembling the MAF sensor
to clean it.
I got everything back together fine and didn't lose any
bolts down into an engine crevice, lol
But my car runs about the same. Had I had *more*
MAF sensor spray cleaner I would have cleaned it a lot
more .... but my hubby had apparently used it beforehand
on his truck and said there was plenty (famous last words).
It didn't look dirty when I took it out and it didn't look
much different when I put it back. Perhaps it needs to be
cleaned more. I gave it about 4 good heavy sprays and then
let it dry.
If I do it again or buy one to replace it, it will be a piece of
cake. It is late and I am rather cold from shoveling most of
the day and then working on the car in between "to rest" so
I will drive it will warm tomorrow and then unplug it to see whether
it runs any better.
I did get the cables put on my AWD Avante so I can get out
to fed my horse in these Flagstaff winter conditions.
Again, thanks for all the help and advice!
Cheers, Fay
