FYI shop price is ~$89 & up.
I paid $130 for the rebuild.

If it can be rebuilt I'd send it to Module Master.  I did with the one in our 99 
A4 and for $250 it had  a 5 year warranty.  Usually it's just the electronic 
portion, not the whole pump, and removal is easy. Instructions are on their 
website.
