chip soldering question

thanks bob and mark! so  i just pulled my ecu and opened it up to see what
i'd be getting into. i'm glad i checked because the leads on the chip are
TINY. it would be a challenge for sure to do it cleanly.

but, it turns out the giac chip i have in there is socketed. so i guess i
wont have to solder after all.

hooray!

ps you really get funny looks from coworkers when you're yanking the ecu in
the parking lot. =)
