problems stating my car

Hi All
I have had problems stating my car 2 times now, both times it was when the 
engine had been off for about 10 or 20 minutes. If it is only off for 3 to 5 
minutes or more than an hour it starts fine. When it is hard to start I have to 
give it a lot of gas or it will die. Does anyone have ant idees what is going 
on?
