Ah, thanks, I must have skimmed over that part.  I know price does not = 
quality, but there are still ranges.

And if one is buying expensive tires, they sure had better be good.

I had some Michelin Pilot things that were awesome once, I actually 
didn't mind spending 125 each to keep buying them, until they didn't 
make my size anymore.

Now I just run net $60 Kumhos, which I like, but I don't push them. 
They got me around just fine on crappy packed snow roads yesterday, 
though (too lazy to put my snows on this year...).  I think New England 
ran out of salt or something.
