quattro Digest, Vol 52, Issue 55

Well, when I was having my free scheduled oil changes done by the dealer, I would always bring in the M1 0w-40, since they typically used a Pennzoil synthetic product (or maybe it was Castrol Syntec). I suppose they could have just stuck my oil on a shelf and used theirs but I suspect they didn't, and charged Audi for 5 quarts of oil anyways....! ;-)

When I was at the dealership it was accepted (but not admitted) knowledge
that the turbo cars were spec'd for synthetic and the dealers were
charging for same but installing dino oil - pocketing the ill gained
profit. I actually saw it happen. FWIW Audi of America was not interested, as
long as they sold quota volume of new cars.
Get the picture why I'm not working with the cars I love any longer?
