Lookup "DTE-13" in the archives, wealth of information there. There are
also some Chevron and other alternatives (all around $50 for a 5 gallon
pail), but the key to any fluids applicability
is it's viscosity, mineral-base, non-detergent, and non-hydroscopic
properties. I've been using Mobil DTE-13M in my type 44's and V8Q's for
about 15 years now with no problems. I've also found it to be an
excellent alternative to the expen$ive Mercyless Benz hydraulic
suspension fluid for the 300TDT. Makes flushing the system every year or
so much less painful when you're not paying $25+ a liter.
If there is indeed a "new" Audi green gold being sold, there's probably a
bulletin about it being backward compatible to G002000. When they went
to 11S they didn't even change the part number, just substituted the new
stuff and dropped the old from dealer inventory.
