Hybrid engine - has this been done before?

Hi Guys,
I have had dreams of putting together an audi racecar for quite sometime -
rollcage and the whole deal... In my shop I have had the doner - a 4000CSQ
and a re-word MC engine with boxes of goodies (Turbo, intercooler, 034EFI,
flywheel, etc...). Why a 4000? They are light, bulletproof, I like the
locking diffs and this is a path much traveled...
Now I have a 91 90Q 20V and am seriously thinking that maybe instead of the
aged-looking 4000, I should convert this car. My recent attempts at selling
it have failed and for the price I am likely to get, I am thinking that I am
better off converting it...
Questions:
#1 Is it possible to fit 20V heads from my 90Q to my MC shortblock? Has this
been done? What is the outcome?
#2 Will the resulting hybrid engine mate up to the stock 90Q 5-speed?
#3 Are there other transmissions that I should consider here?
#4 How does the weight balance F/R compare between the 4000 and the 90? (I
have not bought my 4-point scales yet).
General thoughts?
