So your thinking is that instead of safely comming to an abrupt ABS assisted 
halt when somebody pulls out in front of them is that they should just 
demolish both cars as they plow through whatever lies in the way?

I'm in agreeance with the thinking of something more agile. Good brakes and 
great handling unfortunately tend to come coupled with some power, but to me 
being able to stop or steer arround problems is a valuable asset. Of course 
this is comming from someone who's first car was a 914... no power, but 
great brakes and handling, plus hey an added bonus to the parent of NO back 
seat ;-).
