2008 NAIAS images of the R8 W12 tdi Concept car

Thanks!  I haven't had a chance to label them yet. It's in Detroit at Cobo Hall. The exhibits (not counting cars) cost around $200 million for the show and the charity preview last night (for children's charities) brings in $8 million -- $400/person.  

I was fortunate enough to be invited by my good friend Eric for the Industry Preview. Just got off a plane here in Chicago and the guy next to me was on his way home to Austin, TX after having flown out yesterday specifically for the show.

boy the standard r8 is a smart looking car, this thing is just.. so.. WICKED. that grill! grrrrrrr!!!!! and the finish is amazing - matt aluminum and polished stainless? drool. 

where was this btw? here in SF we get the weakest auto show ever. we don't even get the cool production cars [bmw m, audi s, etc] let alone concepts. =(

It is simply an awesome machine in person.  The body looks like
freshly bead-blasted metal with stainless polished blades behind the 
doors.
