Out-of-State Car Transport

I've bought 4 cars on ebay and one from Autotrader and I never get plates. Maybe I'm just lucky or dumb, but I just drive the thing home and hope for the best. I live in Iowa and have picked up cars from Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas and Newcastle,Delaware. No issues...just registered them when I got home. Once again...maybe I just lucky or dumb....probably the latter!
