Purchase question for used Audi for me

My wife wouldn't give up our 99.5 A4 Avant 1.8t /sport, 5spd, if her life depended on it. 148,000 mi., doesn't use a drop of oil, and I checked the gas mileage from my 65mi. roundtrip of mixed driving the other day, and was surprised to see 33.8 mpg. Only weak spots are control arms. and wheel bearings.
