Gary,

BTDT, intermittent drains are quite the joy!

Several Audis ago I had a intermittent electrical drain. Sometimes the car
would be fine for days, eventually it became more of a problem...

I hooked up a DMM with a amperage shunt to monitor current draw. At first
had very minimal (normal) draw. Left everything hooked up and continued to
do other things around the house. Several hours later checked the gage and
had a big time draw. In my case it turned out to be a faulty micro-switch on
the door handle that triggered the electrical heat for the locks. (locks
were blazing hot!)

If you search the archives I posted some pretty descriptive details. Was
several years ago, so don't remember all the details.

Regardless, use a meter to monitor amperage draw, hopefully you can catch it
when it's drawing current, then (as Kneale said) start pulling fuses until
the drain stops!

Have fun!

Eric
