Gary - take a very close look at the back seat, which sits above the
battery. If the seat bottom touches the battery at all, it will drain (I had
the same problem on an '87 5000 tqa) and is a fire hazard. You may
physically have to attach covers to the battery terminals (duct tape?!).
The main ground under the passenger front footwell is also known to corrode,
causing drains.
But your problem sounds exactly line mine, with the back seat. Even if it's
not the source of the drain, it's worth examining due to the up in smoke
potential.
