painting an intercooler

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the discussion was about making 
a custom FMIC black.  My FMIC is completely from aluminum and does 
not have plastic end caps.

The OEM IC (S-car version) does have plastic but it is hidden where 
you can't even tell if it is colored at all.

BTW, anodizing is the better way to go than black paint.  A layer of 
paint will add a bit of heat flow resistance which will make the FMIC 
a little less effective at cooling charge air.
