Central door locking system not working

Thanks all,
I don't have an alarm, so will there be the little toothed part?

I am looking at my Bentley and it appears to be the "operating lever" right
behind the circlip. Is this right?
Do I need to remove the "door handle" with the lock assembly from the door
or can the lever be replaced with the lock still in the door?

How much trouble is it to install a keyless entry?

Again thanks.

Al

Al, there is a small pot metal part, basically ring with a tab, that
breaks. The replacement part (same as discussed on Chris Miller's
website for the 200) is inexpensive and made of stamped steel.

You might want to get two, one for each side (I did my driver's door
years ago, but now my passenger one has been bad for a couple years...)

Sorry, I don't have the part number.

The only real "trick" to installing it as I recall, also covered at
CJM's site, is getting the little toothed part that controls the alarm
mounted correctly.
