My"fix" is
1. ALWAYS use a godo quality oil filter like a Mann or Mahle...NEVER
anything organge!
2. Marvelous Mystery Oil between changes. About 300 mile or a week before
your oil change, throw in a quart of MMO and drive litle normal. It acts as
a solvent and helps really clean things out. Then change the oil.
My old CGT used to tick like CRAZY when I first got her. It took several
cycles of MMO & oil changes...but she totally stopped ticking.
