Offer as little as possible. with that mileage, KBB says:
trade-in value:

Excellent $3,200
Good $2,775
Fair $2,045
The salvage title may be due to *just* the door being bashed in and it would
cost more than 1/2 the value of the car to fix it, or it may be that the bashed
in door also twisted the chassis, and it would take big bucks to make straight.
If the rest of the car is pristine clean, I might offer $1000. But I'd low ball
them and offer $500. If he/she takes it, you'll think you got a bargain. If the
car turns out to be a dog, you'll be glad it didn't cost you too much.
Remember, with 250K miles on it, there's not a lot of life left to it. It gets
expensive putting old things right. But if that's your passion, go for it.
