temperature gauge question and a/c

Sorry, too many posts ago.  You said originally it blew warm and asked if that's normal, and then you asked how come you can feel cool air.  I thought some emperical facts might help.  Regarding the questions from your original post,   "In

the car is parked?"  I take it your question is whether the fan is supposed to run after the engine shuts off???  You don't identify the car you're discussing in your original post other than to say it's a V6.  Cars with turbos normally have after run fan operations.  Their control is based on underhood temperatures.  Coolants usually increase in temperature when motion stops, so the after run fans operate to reduce that.  I don't think Audis without turbos have that feature.  You might consult your owner manual.  For example, the owner manuals for my 200q20v (turbo) cars caution that the fan may operate with the engine turned off, while the manuals for my V8 (non turbo) cars have no such caution.
