B3 90q oil leak and hunting idle

I've developed an oil leak on my 90q, I have not had much time to
investigate due to finals.

The oil seems to be leaking from the passenger side from behind the
AC compressor area. I got a good enough look to think it is not the oil pan
gasket or the valve cover. I still can really get a good enough look to
confirm where it is coming from without removing the AC compressor.

 Today I was getting a hunting idle 900 to 1300 rpm with increased noise
coming form the fuel pump in conjuction with the rpm change, and the diff
lock and brake light would lightly come on, it didn't really try to stall. I
don't think it is the isv I cleaned it really well a few months ago, but I
could be wrong.

  The crankase vent hose was basically collapsed and I replaced it, the car
seem to run better after that.

  My question is could the collapsed crankase hose be causing or
contributing to the situation ?
