Tires on a 2001 A6

As a GY F1 GSD3 owner, the accolades are well deserved as an all-round tire,
and if the same designers (it's the same carcass) did the A/S version, then
the raves should continue (although the sidewall is somewhat on the softer
side of the UHP spectrum IMHO). However, right in TireRack's comparo (and in
SCCA's SportsCar magazine, although they don't publish tests), they found
that the BFG does outperform the GY, although both are really at the top of
the UHP A/S spectrum. And neither is really TOO expensive, considering what
you're getting. UHP performance, and 400 treadwear. No, not quite in the
same league as MP or EP tires (Falken RT615, BS REO1R, Dunlop Direzza Z1 or
whatever has just superceded it) in terms of performance, but still fun
tires with 400 treadwear. Can't ask for much more.
