Huw is correct. You will be able to source cable and crimps from a bike
shop. IIRC, you may need to use brake cable from a tandem cycle as you'll be
looking for a slightly thicker gauge than is used in "normal" brakes.
If you search the site, you'll find that someone wrote up this repair for
the 5000 regulators, which were notorious for cable problems (I think I went
through 3 window regulators in both of my 5000 avants over 6 years).
Given from what I remember with the 5000 regulators, it's a bit of a mess
removing and replacing the cable. A used part from Chris at Force 5 or other
wrecker might be easier - just plug and play.
And be sure to lube everything up while you're in there. That's why your
cable blew out in the first place.
