nostalgia

Ugggh, I can't stand AudiWorld any more. I used to hang out there a few years ago, but got sick and tired of the infantile behavior, emphasis on body kits and 20 inch
wheels and the same questions asked over and over and over and over...... It's a lot of 20-something's with cars their Daddys bought. I actually did a search the other
day for a muffler bracket issue I am having with my car, and I see nothing has really changed. I haven't joined AudiZine but it looks like much of the same.

I guess I am getting old.

I'll post separately about the muffler bracket issue if the weld breaks again!

great observations. i've been reading the list less and less lately, with
more time spent on audizine and audiworld due to having an a4 the last few
years. partly since there is more model-specific info over there, and then
also since i feel obligated to help [almost] as much as i take. the former
has a higher signal to noise ratio, but an awful user interface. the latter
has a lovely [well, passable] ui but so much noise it's almost unbearable.
so i ping-pong between them. many of the demon tweakers have also gone over
to motorgeek, which is great reading but a bit in depth for your run of the
mill regulator question.

i admit that i miss the days of sorting through my then-new-to-me 5000cstq,
devouring both qlist info and archives as well as the sjm site. it was like
detective work for the automotively insane.
