4000 Sun Roof stuck!!

There should be an allen key under the dome light housing that you can use
to shut the roof manually. Failing that, if you take the gearbox/ motor
assembly out then you should be able to slide the thing shut and refit the
gearbox to jam it closed if the motor or box have seized.

Or just stick a golf umbrella through the hole and use a bungee cord from
the handle to one of the seat runners

Hi All,

 

I have an 86 4000Q and the sun roof quit while closing. It is now half way
open and in Seattle it rains a lot.

 

I checked a fuse for it, looks good. There is no noise when trying to switch
it - just dead. Won't open or close.

 

#1 I need to close it before it rains.

 

#2 I would like to get it fixed if possible.
