Header to DP flange

Tyson,

I think you'll find the studs are 8mm thread which would put the
wrench/socket size between 12mm-14mm depending on what was used.

The last time I did this job was many years ago, but I seem to recall it
requiring no less than two extensions with a universal joint between them.
Use a 6-point socket as you don't want to round these off during removal.
If you round them off your only option may be cutting torches!

Now would be the right time to decide if this is a job better suited to a
professional with a lift and air tools. It's not something you want to
start unless you can complete the job as driving around with the entire
exhaust system hanging isn't real practical....if even possible.

Consider Chris at Fine Tuning on North Aurora. He's at 206-522-5503.

Call anyone who sells import parts. Heck, Atlantic had one in stock
last time I thought I needed one.

  Great suffering and torture, basically.

There are 5 studs in the manifold sticking through the gasket and
then
the downpipe flange. I think they are 8mm but I might be wrong.

It's easier to do with the engine out of the car ;)

This might also be a good time to move your battery to the trunk if
you
ever wanted to, since I think that would give you more access from
above.

Or try removing the intake manifold to get more access:

As you can see, you can't see what you're working on:

but this is what they look like:
