Let me reiterate:  Do not spray brake cleaner down the throat of a 
engine, especially if it's running!  I made the mistake of doing this 
on my lawnmower this weekend.  The results:  Poisonous hydrogen 
chloride spewed out the exhaust, when it hit the ground it dissolved 
all the grass it contacted.  I got a small whiff of it, made my 
throat raw for a day or so.  Another possible chemical coming out of 
the exhaust is phosgene (one of the chemicals Germans used in 
WWI.)  Both of these chemicals can kill you (and not quickly, it can 
take up to 48 hours for the symptoms to appear)  I was recently at 
the FLAPS, and got the brake cleaner.  He offered cheap, or slightly 
more expensive non-chlorinated.  We (the manager, whom I've known for 
years, and I) in fact wondered why people would care if it was 
chlorinated or not.  Now I know why to get non-chlorinated - no 
chlorine means no Hydrogen chloride or phosgene.
