87CGT Top strut bearings/mounts

Since Huh indicated that the play you saw *may* be normal ( i cannot  
say), here are some symptems, from when you were driving it:

1. impact harshness
2. heavier / higher friction steering
3. vague steering
4. slop on center
5. Under load the bearing will often look "stretched" as if the shock  
were trying to push its way through the bearing and into the engine  
compartment. It is.
