Oil in Audis is on a gauge if your instruments show one.
The flashing light is the coolant sensor, which when the level goes too low in the coolant overflow bottle, it flashes.
Since its cold, the coolant expands when warmed up and the light turns off.......

Top up the coolant.
You may have a drip from a hose, headgasket leak/crack (if it drains fast - week- in driving) or a cracked coolant overflow bottle cap.

My cap was cracked and some would steam out over time, new cap solved the issue.

Have hubby check the front of the engine for drips, it could be the water pump leaking or seal starting to fail.? V-6 correct?
