Well, an external trans cooler might be harder than the typical
car. I have replaced the tranny in my 200 FWD, and unlike most cars
that pipe trans fluid up to the radiator, the Audi transmission pipes
coolant back to a heat exchanger on the back of the
transmission. Sure, you can use the bolts that carry the fluid and
create something, but it's not a simple cut the rubber hose and throw
in a tranny cooler like most cars.
