I have bought cars in fairly good  condition  and certainly comparable to
yours for less
than I perceive the swap would cost you.  Your car would be worth something
to someone
who want an automatic daily driver - there are folks out there who want
these with
automatic despite the downside and really don't car much about the power.

That is my take.
