Cooling system burping on 4000 or I5's

I have two advices for you :

- remove a sensor from the back of the head when you fill it, that way there
will be less air trapped in the system and you won't get the burps...

- do yourself a favour : fill it now with antifreeze, and forget it. I once
did that, fill in july with fresh water, just to forget to add antifreeze
until that December 27th night when the temps dropped to -20 celcius. I
discovered my mistake cause the engine overheated (at minus 20!) 2
kilometers from home, because the "water" was now more like slush. Cost me a
tow, but the engine was not harmed too lethally.

I drained the block and the radiator. I left the system open for
couple of days, as I had the wrong waterpump on hand and didnt want to
put it back together with the leaky pump. It got a bit rusty, so I
filled it up with water for now, and will flush it thoroughly before I
put some real coolant into it.I did fill up the block trough the upper
radiator hose ( blew a Honda HG by not doing so, bdtd).
