1000 Cdn dollars may not be worth 'much anyway'.although I'm a little
nervous about the US dollar (as are many others in the world it seems). I'm
all for giving AIG and pals billions to lose money. We did the same here in
Canada. Oh. No we didn't do that did we..our banks are all sound as a pound
er I mean CDN dollar. Do you feel the Chinese missles winding up as the US
gov prints more money and destroys the value of the China investment. The
prop-up will not last much longer. This is all rather unfortunate in a lot
of ways.
As for currency exchange. I made money when I lived in the states based on
the exchange rate..and made money when I moved home as the exchange went the
other way. To further confuse things, I work for an electronics
manufacturer and we tend to do better with a lower CDN dollar . so I'd
rather have a 20% delta US/CDN as it certainly keeps US companies buying cdn
goods.
Thank goodness I really don't have to worry about money. I just spend it. I
removed my worry about money gene about 2 years ago and things have been
pleasant ever since J
The kicker on the dollar not being worth much is that 530 in parts cost me
650 Cdn. All the economic reasonings in the world still don't make me feel
like my wallet got dinged twice due to the 120 dollar exchange cost.
My joke about 1000 dollar jars of 'grease' certainly got some mileage here.
Cheers J
