Family album in Vista 64?

I'm surprised it's only 10% improvement. The software clearly needs some
optimization... after all, it *COULD* take advantage (of basically) double
bandwidth in processing.
Since many apps aren't (YET) optimized, I've really only noticed
(anecdotally) some increased performance when running multiple apps.
In the future, I'm expecting more and more software to be optimized for 64
bit computing. It's clearly coming, so a 64 bit OS adds some "future
proofness."
But do most people NEED it? No. And frankly, most people don't even choose
it... it comes pre-installed with an OS.
But remember, when Win XP came out, 128 MB of RAM was common. 256 MB was an
upgrade. Today to run XP for most, 1GB is required (with all of the real
time AV, anti-spyware, etc.). Who knows when we'll all think 4GB is a small
amount of RAM. =)
