Fuel Pump Removal Tool- 1995 Audi 90 Q

It took a few hours of laying in the trunk with my left hand immersed
in gasoline up to mid forearm to figure it out. (Not fun.) The
ex$penSive Audi $pecific tool is not required.

There are some roughly triangular plastic latches which can be pushed
out of the way enough to relase one side of the fuel pump and then
working on the other side you can also push that latch out of the
way. Then the FP just lifts out of the tank. The trick is to keep
a little lift on the FP with the power cable/fuel hose grouping to
hold what you get with the first catch while working on the second one.

I can send pics if you'd like but if you have the pump out you can
probably see the catches.
