Yes, I recall the look on the parts counterman's face at an Olds dealer in
Raleigh, NC when I was looking for the recirc. flap motor for a 5000.  Since
I had brought the failed part in, he was able to match it up without
difficulty.

Anyone remember the early Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon had 1.7 VW mill?
That, in and of itself, steered me to VAG nearly 30 years ago.

With the state the automotive world is currently in, don't be surprised to
find an increasing level of commonality in the new cars.
