And to muddy the waters a bit more…..granted it’s a very small sample of cars (1) but the problem I had was a broken up bit of nylon at the base of the stick.
It was 10+ years ago so details are vague. I agree with the others about bullet-proofness of drivetrain, I took mine from 60k to 220k with no issues apart from a clutch at about 175k.
