[s-cars] Silly question - cryo treated rotors

If you look at treated metal sections under a SEM, you'll see the grain
structure is more uniform (re-aligned).
Uniformity means uniform stresses, less stress risers, and more efficient
heat dissipation.
It absolutely works when you're pushing the "envelope" of the system. For a
street driven car, it'll have less possibility of warping and longer life,
but I'd *guess* at small margins. It might provide a small margin against
pad deposition, but that's a stretch in my mind.
Treated rotors are a potential problem solver. If you don't have a problem,
don't spend the extra money. Any additional longevity won't be worth the
added expense.
