Yup, here in the Springs too. They even came up with a cute term for it,
puffing. On the rare occasion when I do let a car idle to warm, I go out
with two sets of keys and lock it while it's idling. I'm not sure if that
would thwart a ticket, but I feel safer.

In my part of Colorado, the police will ticket you if they catch you doing
this. They are tired of looking for stolen cars that were left running in
somebody's driveway with the keys in them. Dave
