IIRC some have reported old flex brake lines coming apart inside and acting
like one-way valves as well. I have not experienced this but have read
reports of it.

Another thing you can do is to loosen the bleeder when it's dragging
and see if fluid squirts out. If it does, the MC is holking pressure
on the calipers. If not, the calipers themselves are sticking.
