Especially if there has been no problem previously. Maybe you could be lucky
and it is the nylon stop in the console.

Oh good, I hope that is all it is...... Of course, neither of my sons, both
of whom drove the car on Friday (I discovered the issue
Sat morning) did ANYTHING to the car. Reverse worked perfectly for them!!!
But I am getting tired of driving around
parking lots looking for spaces that I can 'drive through', versus facing an
island. Amazing how few of the stores have
those sorts of spaces any more.

It seems like a adjustment problem.

So my car won't go into reverse. When I try and shift into it, it feels like
something is 'blocking' it. I tried to let the
clutch out a little and see if it would go into reverse, but nothing except
a little grinding. I drove the car to do some
errands and even after fully warmed up, no go. All forward gears work fine.
Any ideas on what the problem might
be? Oh, this is a manual 6-speed. I'm bringing it to the shop tomorrow but
figured I would ask for potential issues.
