Audi in London

Up to 1988, all Quattros had manual locking diffs, center and rear.
In 89, the Torsen center was introduced. It functions autonomously with no
driver input. The rear diff paired with it did not change but the control
of the rear diff did. It was changed to an electronic switch that would be
defeated when speed reached 20mph.
At some point during the mid 90's when ESP came out, all driver input to
control of the open rear diff was removed and slip was controlled by brakes.
So:
84 4kq & 87 5ktqa, fully manually driver controlled
90 CQ & 91 200q, Torsen center with electronic switch for partial driver
control of rear diff
I think the 01 S4 has Torsen center with ESP controlled open rear.
The more front-heavy cars would tend to push. That's the CQ, the 91's &
then the 87 in order of what I guess is most front heavy to least. The ones
with turbo power would definitely give you better ability to kick out the
tail.
I think the predominant difference amongst all these really boils down to
weight distribution when talking about intial response to turn in. After
that, behavior is affected by diff orientation and control and then by
available power to input.
