1998 a4 30v overheating

down to, 2ND AND 3RD SPEED RADIATOR FAN TESTING to see how to test if that 
sensor is faulty. Pull the connector and jumper it to simulate the sensor.
Your connector might be different.
I had the same problem this week on my '90 80. It was the sensor at the 
bottom of the radiator.
