hey iain - i would pull the cv and see if you've nicked or bent the
toothed abs ring on the end of the axle shaft. ime they're really easy
to damage when removing / reinstalling.
'toothed ring' actually isn't the best description, it's more like a
band with windows cut in it that slips over the end of the axle, into
the hub. you'll know it when you see it. it's what the abs sensor is
sensing.
