He must be talking about the CPI injection (multi port) which is  
temperamental and subject to failure after a few years, I think they used  it around 
90~95. I know, I had to replace the unit in my Astro twice because the  first time 
I didn't put in a new "Nut Kit". (why would anybody  (male) need a new  'Nut 
Kit'?) The throttle body (TBI)  injection is much more reliable.
