Yup, and even back then GM was making great management decisions, selling
an advanced engine that only needed a little tweaking to perfect, to
Rover. The engine was then sold around the world by Rover for more than
3 decades as an English export.
Akin to Audi selling it's original 3.6 and 4.2 V8 engines to GM and
having nothing but glorified boat anchors to replace it.
