2nd the 91 avant ultra primo (fireproof) idea for $1000

Failing that, you could put a 1.8t in it which might be cheaper due to  
there being lots in golfs and jettas

Just a thought. I know a couple of guys in montreal have done that to  
a 90 and an a4. There are lots of things that you can do to the 1.8t  
later when you decide it's not fast enough
