Aw come on Mark, you remember, waaaaay back when, when you were driving
those slower cars (think of your VW's at SNYR events). Pitch and toss was
the name of the game, and even on the track the lack of grip, both front and
rear, and lack of mass is what lets you get away with it. You're literally
using these less smooth manuvers to force some weight transfer to get the
turn in to initiate. Doesn't work with the heavier cars (pitch it and you're
going off backwards) because they seem to transfer weight better. At least
that's my theory, reinforced by practice, although without the
realknowledge as to why is seems to work that way.
