I think you guys have a far different idea of "Daily Driver" than I
do. Roll cage? 3 Mile Commute? Tossability? Auto-X Performance?

For my daily driver I'm weighing in comfort and distance. 120 miles a
day driven, mostly at 75mph+, but with 10-20 minutes of bumper-to-bumper
and at least one "slow down from 75 to 15 in a hurry" a day. The MK2
was fun to drive as a toy (which seems to be what you guys are talking
about), I loved it for the two or three cloverleaves I could find a day,
but then the droning, rattling, wind noise, and broken interior
everything sucked for the flat long high way stretches. Note that I
did not recommend a MK3, but having owned both at the same time (last
year), I *would* recommend a MK3 over a MK2 as a Daily Driver.

I myself have it all a little backwards and have a MK3 as a street+track
car and my CQ as my DD :)
