Yes

1/4 elliptic rear, Side screens and 948 or the 1098 (10CC) motor with the
fragile big ends....

"mine" is 1/2 elliptic following a re-shell into a later body in the mid
70s.
 The 1/4 elliptic springs were apparently fine, but in the end (in true
British Car fashion) there was nothing left to attach them to

Allegedly the front was redesigned by Healey (Geoffrey?) and the back end by
MG (Sid Enver?). i saw a bloke once who had put a frogeye fibreglass back
end on a later spridget and it looked pretty good / well proportioned / a
lot less like a dog's dinner.

Isn't the MkII the one that has the later front fenders, but still has the
