Dayum - a Northstar in a Fiero :o That sucker must have been plenty
quick!
I agree though, having owned an MR2 (1987), it was an absolute blast -
reliable as hell - but like all Jap cars I've owned or driven - lacking
personality, the feel was adequate - just needed some spice or
sumthin..(the WRX Wagon was the same)
Take my 1984 4ksq, been driving it around, its not quick, but its raw,
purpose built, efficient in what its asked to do - it was built to be
driven (mostly slide ways) and loves it, grin :)
Can you buy that feeling in any newer car - perhaps the exotics? Don't
know, haven't driven one...

This is true, but as we discussed earlier, the feeling of Japanese
cars is different. It lacks the involvement of the europeans. In fact,
if I were looking for an alternative, I'd also look at the Fiero. I
helped finish up a Northstar conversion (amazingly simple) and the car
drove beautifully. Nice wieght distribution, and he had already done
some brake and suspension upgrades. Oh, and it flew!

make the mistake of buying an Italian car.? Got an Alfa spider last
year.? Really makes me appreciate german engineering!
